Artistes Estrangers – Catalunya Radio Interview

Following on from the performance of ‘Penitent I’ in El Pinell de Brai for the inauguration of ‘Ermita 2.0’ touring exhibitions, I was interviewed by Catalunya Radio about why and how I ended up living and practising my art here in Riba-roja d’Ebre.

DAR (Dones Artistes Rurals)

I am very excited to be part of this project, DAR – (Female rural artists), with huge thanks to Tectonica Cultural. Over the next couple of months we’ll be reflecting on our creative practice and identifying needs. We will be working collaboratively to inspire and develop ideas. Responding to your whispers

Intrigued by the imposed audio limitations placed upon your artist group, I can assure you that your whispers are coming through ‘loud and clear’.

Observing you on your ‘island’, your cell, I can connect with you from my ‘natural soapbox’ (a large protruding rock within the valley). I will respond with a ‘rant’ with a self-imposed limitation that it should come from this place. However, the quest for clarity of thought, of word, of action risks going unseen.
