Coworkfest, Art and the Rural World: My Work at Zona Líquida
Last Thursday, 9th of October, I had the pleasure of sharing a journey through my artistic practice at Zona Líquida as part of Coworkfest — an inspiring gathering that brought creativity, conversation, and connection to our rural coworking space in Riba-roja d’Ebre.
It felt wonderful to open up my work in a place so closely tied to my everyday life and creative process.
Comunal for ‘Fem Safareig’
On Sunday 21st of September 2025, I walked through the streets of Riba-roja d’Ebre, barefoot – sweeping as I reached the old washhouse. The stone was cool, the air carried echoes, and I felt the weight of countless women’s hands and voices that once filled this place. With charcoal and water, I began to draw intuitively and then write in Catalan on the walls. Words, fragments, forms — they appeared, dissolved, and reappeared. Each gesture became part of a cycle: writing, erasing, rewriting.

I am extremely proud to announce that I am now an Alumni & Industry Fellow for Art & Design at Nottingham Trent University. I will be offering mentoring sessions and workshops on a hybrid basis to NTU students and recent graduates. I will focus on sustainability in the creative practice, professional skills development, resilience in the face of climate crisis and the off-grid art practice.

ALMINAL. Body, Voice and Memory.
The collaborative performance ‘ALMINAL. Body, Voice and Memory‘ took place on Sunday 24th of November 2024 and unfolded as a ritual of nature, creating an imaginary triangle with each vertex occupied by the three artists – Antònia Ripoll, Gemma Ginovart and Sarah Misselbrook – dressed in white overalls, attire commonly used in medicine, livestock work, and art. Beside each of them were natural elements that symbolized intangible knowledge and the wisdom of the earth.

Within the autumn activities of Cultura Verda, this year included for the first time: ‘The Green Screen’, the first edition of a video creation and documentary exhibition. The event took place over 2 days, the 7th and 8th of November 2024, at the Mèdol, Contemporary Arts Centre in Tarragona.

‘Els Ports, Nature i Art’ is a project that works to promote respect and conservation of the natural environment. At a crucial historical moment, both because of the questioning of the economic growth model and because of the serious environmental crisis resulting from global warming and climate change.
I had the honour of presenting a new, site-specific sculptural installation as part of the 9th edition of Natura i Art, in this stunning nature reserve.

In the Autumn of 2023, I enrolled on an Eco Art Space course entitled ‘Sustain(ability) & the Art Studio’. Having been working in an off-grid environment for over a decade, I was fascinated by how I could further improve the sustainability of my practice. The course proved that engaging with a community, whether local or online is part of this sustainability.

The exhibition ‘L’Ermita 2.0’ takes over from ‘L’Ermita underwater’ to showcase the work of seventeen artists from the Ebre region. ‘L’Ermita 2.0’ aims to bring the works of artists connected to the region closer to the public in small towns. The project presents sixteen works linked to the Terres de l’Ebre and its rurality.
