2nd Dia de les Dones Rurals de la Ribera d’Ebre – Ascó – 18.10.2025.

A wonderful day in Ascó celebrating the 2nd Dia de les Dones Rurals (Day of Rural Women) de la Ribera d’Ebre, organised by Centre d’Estudis de la Ribera d’Ebre (CERE) and the Ajuntament of Ascó. We shared lunch and conversations before setting up our stands full of creativity and local talent.

Riba Rocks brought their brilliant branded T-shirts, while I exhibited sculptural works, canvas drawings, and copies of my artist book ‘Upon Reflection’, with my latest video pieces playing throughout the afternoon.

A highlight of the day for me was finishing a new charcoal drawing on bamboo paper, live with such an engaged audience. The new work, entitled “Still Life, I’ framed with an oval mount — is now part of Tros d’Art, the new art library at Móra la Nova Library.

Tros d’Art is such a wonderful initiative by the Ajuntament de Móra la Nova and CERE, allowing people to borrow artworks to enjoy at home, just like books. ‘Tros d’Art is a unique project that aims to highlight the works of artists from the Ribera d’Ebre region. Promoted by the Centre for Studies of the Ribera d’Ebre (CERE) and the Móra la Nova Town Council, it allows users to choose a piece of art, keep it at home for a month, and then return it in order to borrow another one.’
