As part of the second annual Riu d’Art project in Riba-roja d’Ebre, Misselbrook created a site specific work in the Placa de Forn within the old part of the village.
This second year saw successful applications from 4 other international artists as well as local practitioners who all created site specific works in various locations, all with a view to increase accessibility to contemporary as well as reusing disused spaces within the nucli antic (the original part of the village).
Entitled ‘Comunió de la vida’, Misselbrook’s work takes inspiration again from the fig tree and fruit with the abstracted symmetrical drawing as observation from the internal fruit structure. A cast of the artist’s hands are placed under a drainpipe and contain a sedum plant as if waiting to be watered.
