In June, the artist returned to her home town of Southampton to work at The Gregg School. Commissioned to create an exterior installation and taking inspiration from the original garden plans by Gertrude Jekyll, this project saw the start of a new sculptural garden in the school grounds.Misselbrook worked with students on a series of sculptural workshops including casting from natural objects and body casting. Sculptural elements came together with natural found objects, tree trunks, handmade charcoal and body casts to create a surreal and playful installation within the forest environment.
Photographic documentation of the creative processes throughout the project with the students including drawing and sculpture workshops and camp fire charcoal making resulted in an extensive image library which Misselbrook then used to create three collage banners, installed retrospectively as part of the overall work.
