My work is a way of exorcising something from myself, which is very emotional, maybe troubled. I become a subject who produces that which is visible. It is my silent, non-verbal response...

 

Raw Female: Cooked Feminine

Compiled in January 2000, this thesis was written during Misselbrook's study at Nottingham Trent University. It explores Misselbrook's own art and work by other artists who have inspired her theoretically.
